The chase culminates in an altercation in the woods where Ella shoves Liam, causing him to tumble and hit his head. Overcome with panic as she fears she has killed him, Ella weeps beside his motionless figure...
In the midst of this gripping plotline, fans have been suspecting John Sugden, who's set to marry Chas' son Aaron Dingle, might be the mastermind due to his shady actions.
Speculations are now swirling about John and Ella possibly being in cahoots, with viewers suggesting it's plain to see they 'knew each other before'.
